Inventory Management Software for Amazon Sellers

Client

The founder of Restock Revolution – Matt Hodge – is an Australia-based top 1% Amazon FBA private label seller who has sold over $17m on Amazon. He successfully created and applied to his business an inventory management strategy that helps with control of his FBA inventory, lower costs, avoid stock-outs, and unlock massive cash flow.

Objective

Matt wanted to create a powerful SAAS solution that would help other Amazon sellers with solving their inventory problems by applying Matt’s proprietary inventory management strategy.

The platform should be intuitive to the users since the inventory management involves a lot of moving parts: current stock on hands, orders on the way to the warehouses, seasonality, complex products consisting of several parts, different ways to deliver products to the warehouse. All of these aspects impact a single question: “how much inventory should I order to keep my products in stock and not freeze too much cash in the inventory?”

Solution

Productera approached the project by diving deep into the Amazon sellers world - we’ve interviewed the founder, talked to other sellers, reviewed existing solutions in the market and researched the domain as a whole in order to understand what Amazon sellers are dealing with on daily basis.

Once we’ve reached the point when all user problems and business processes are clear and documented, we started the design of UX solutions. As with any complex system, our focus was on making sure that users always feel that they are in control and have a clear understanding of where they are in the system and what has to be done to get them closer to their final objective – place the order.

The Result

As a result of our close collaboration with Matt, we’ve created a unique UX and interface for Restock Revolution application. The interface has a feeling of an Enterprise-level product you can trust the management of your Amazon store inventory, while it’s still fun and easy to use. The most challenging part of the project was to create an onboarding experience that would take the user from signup to order placement – that process takes 2-3 hrs and requires deep interaction with the system. We’ve designed a wizard that is nicely integrated with wiki and uses gamification mechanics.

While the application was launched only recently, it’s already getting a lot of positive feedback from its users. We look forward to continuing working on this project with Matt and making it even better!
