The Challenge

When AlphaSense acquired Stream, they needed more than a migration — they needed the team that built it. Stream's research platform had to be integrated into AlphaSense's intelligence suite as Expert Insights, without disrupting service for thousands of active analysts. And the integration had to meet AlphaSense's enterprise-grade standards for security, performance, and reliability.

Beyond the initial integration, AlphaSense was scaling rapidly and needed engineering capacity that could operate within their existing workflows, tools, and culture — not an outside vendor handing off code, but engineers who functioned as part of the team.

The Solution

Productera's engineers embedded directly into AlphaSense's product organization. What started as the Stream integration expanded into broader contributions across the platform:

• Expert Insights integration — migrated Stream's infrastructure into AlphaSense's platform, rebranding and adapting the product to fit their enterprise user base while maintaining zero downtime
• Cross-team engineering — Productera engineers contributed to multiple product areas beyond Expert Insights, working within AlphaSense's sprint cycles, code review processes, and deployment pipelines
• QA and product management — provided dedicated QA specialists and product managers who worked alongside AlphaSense's internal teams, maintaining quality standards at scale
• Infrastructure scaling — helped scale the platform's cloud infrastructure to handle AlphaSense's growing user base and increasing data volumes

The Results

The Stream migration to Expert Insights was completed with zero disruption to users. From there, the scope expanded naturally as AlphaSense's team saw the quality of work and the ease of collaboration.
