Client

VistaBit is a small, family-managed business that operates a network of Bitcoin ATMs in Ottawa, Canada. Their mission is to make cryptocurrency investments accessible to non-tech savvy people who want to diversify their investment portfolio and take advantage of cryptocurrency power.

Objective

VistaBit has primarily focused on expanding their network of ATMs across other provinces in Canada, but recently wanted to improve their accessibility by moving the customer experience online instead of needing to visit a physical machine for purchasing transactions.

VistaBit had expertise in cryptocurrency, but they were lacking knowledge of web product development. They came to Productera with a clear idea and description of what they needed based on the research they had done. The main objective for Productera here was to create a web portal that is secure, easy to use, and emits a feeling of trust.

Solution

After several work sessions with the VistaBit team, we created functional requirements for the product and started the design work. We explored several visual concepts and created a simple, yet clean interface that focuses primarily on the users’ end goal—buy or sell crypto.

The platform is based on microservices for best security and reliability. We used Google Cloud infrastructure and Django with React.

The Result

Productera developed the user interface and POC of the platform. Unfortunately, the development work was not completed and the portal has yet to go live because of reasons outside Productera’s control.
